What we store

If you create an account we store your email address and whatever you put in your profile — display name, bio, location and years active. Your email is never shown publicly.

When you submit a memory, photograph, entry or correction we store the submission, its moderation status and any note an editor leaves on it. For images we also store the photographer credit, the year the image was taken and your confirmation that you own the image or have permission to publish it. We keep those permission records for as long as the image is published.

Newsletter signups store an email address and nothing else. We do not sell or share it. Ask us and we will delete it, along with your account and submissions.

Uploaded files are kept in private storage and only shown on the site after an editor has approved them.
