Guidelines
Contributing
Anyone with an account can send us four kinds of thing: a memory of a band, venue or gig; a photograph or a scan of a flyer, ticket or fanzine; a brand-new archive entry; or a correction to something already published.
Memories
Write what you saw, heard and remember. First-hand is best. If you are unsure of a date or a name, say so in the text — an honest gap is worth more than a confident guess.
Photographs and scans
We can only publish images where the rights are clear. For every image you must tell us who took it, roughly what year it was taken, and tick the box confirming that you own the image or have permission to publish it. These fields are required, and we keep them on file. If you did not take the picture and cannot reach the person who did, please do not upload it.
New entries and corrections
Give us the plain facts and, where you can, how you know them. Corrections are welcome and genuinely wanted; the archive gets better by being argued with.
What happens next
Nothing appears on the site until an editor approves it. You can see the status of everything you have sent on your account page, together with any note the editor left.
